Zeno Moore Papers, 1911-1949

Zeno Moore was the first agent of the North Carolina Agricultural Extension Service in Edgecombe County. He started the Whitakers Extension Club in 1911. His wife Eloise Moore was also active in extension work. Papers of Zeno Moore include letters and reports, 1910-1930s, chiefly relating to his extension work; field diaries and record pads from the same period that document Moore's day-to-day work with farmers and others; 16 photographs showing fields and other agricultural features; and a few clippings. Eloise Moore materials, 1920s-1949, include a few letters, clippings, and other items, some of which are pasted into a small scrapbook.
